Al-Attiyah had a faultless race from the first day and took a big margin on the second stage. That helped him to control the race and he stayed in control from that point on. “I feel really great, I’m happy to win the race”, Al-Attiyah said. “I would like to thank Toyota GAZOO racing for doing an amazing job during these days. I thank everyone for the support during this race.”

Mitchel van den Brink finished his second Dakar Rally in 10th place, which is a great achievement for the young Dutchman. Van den Brink junior proved he’s a worthy fast assistance during the Dakar Rally.
