Reliable lubrication for loading systems

The loading and unloading systems at Bolk Transport are subject to heavy use—especially during bulk transport of salt. Corrosion and jamming chains often cause disruptions and additional maintenance. Situation Description

When loading trucks, Bolk Transport in Almelo uses a chain conveyor system that can place up to 28 pallets in a single movement—equivalent to approximately 35 tonnes. In many cases, the cargo consists of bulk salt. During loading, salt frequently enters the chain system. The combination of moisture, oxygen, and salt leads to aggressive metal corrosion. This results in rapid rust formation, increased friction, and failures caused by jamming or misaligned chains.
