ROCCO CORONEL

Collaboration with Rocco Coronel

Rocco Coronel is a young racing talent and a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. The son of Tom Coronel began his racing career at an early age and was already supported by Eurol back then.

Rocco has delivered impressive performances in various karting competitions, and in 2025 he claimed the title in the Ginetta Junior Championship. Helmut Marko from Red Bull Racing is also impressed and added Rocco to the Red Bull Junior Programme in 2024 as the youngest driver ever. With his passion for racing, Rocco is determined to pursue his dream and build a successful career in motorsport.

Ginetta Junior Championship

In addition to Eurol’s support during the European and World Karting Championships, Rocco also receives support in the English Ginetta Junior Winter Series and the subsequent Ginetta Junior Championship. This championship consists of eight races and is an important step in his development as a driver, allowing Rocco to compete with other young talents and further refine his skills. Many drivers, including Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, British GT champion Seb Morris, British Touring Car champion Tom Ingram, and W Series champion Jamie Chadwick, gained their first experiences in Ginetta.

In the United Kingdom, it is possible to start motorsport at the age of 14 in junior classes, for which certain restrictions apply. The Ginetta Junior Championship is one of those classes. Races are driven with the Ginetta G40 from the R Racing team, equipped with a tubular frame, an FIA-approved roll cage, and a fiberglass body. A 1.8-litre Ford Zetec engine with 100 hp provides the power, coupled with a sequential six-speed gearbox. We supply this car with our Specialty racing line featuring SYNGIS Technology. In 2025, Rocco became champion of this championship, clearly underlining his potential.

Spanish Formula 4

After winning the Ginetta Junior Championship, Rocco will step up to Spanish Formula 4 in 2025, where he will race with MP Motorsport. This championship is known as one of the strongest and most competitive entry-level series in Europe, where young talents prepare for higher categories such as Formula Regional and Formula 3.

Rocco made an immediate impact: during his debut weekend with MP Motorsport in Barcelona, he secured a podium finish. This showed he is ready to fight for the top positions in this championship as well.
