This flying start marked the beginning of a long-lasting partnership between Eurol and TOYOTA. On a technical level, we complement each other perfectly. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing benefits from our expertise in lubricants, while we benefit from the opportunity to develop products in the highest class of motorsport. This collaboration enables us to develop better and more efficient lubricants, benefiting every Eurol user.

In 2020, the most challenging rally in the world was moved from Peru to Saudi Arabia. That year, two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso joined TOYOTA's prestigious Dakar team. Both in 2020 and 2021, Nasser Al-Attiyah finished second in the overall standings. In 2021, the Dakar Rally was once again held in Saudi Arabia, after being relocated from South America.

For the 2022 Dakar Rally, the TOYOTA Hilux received a significant upgrade to be better equipped for the rugged Saudi landscape. The "TOYOTA Hilux T1+" received larger tires, a new chassis, and an extended suspension travel. These changes proved to be very successful, as Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel claimed victory in 2022. They also secured the top spot in the 2023 Dakar Rally, a fantastic achievement. Al-Attiyah thus earned his fifth Dakar win, and it was the third victory for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, in partnership with Eurol as the lubricants partner.

Starting from 2024, Eurol is the technical partner of the South African division of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing team.
